Golf Professionals

Sam Hingeley

After completing High school in 1998, I moved to Melbourne to commence my Bachelor of Applied Science (Sports Coaching/Administration). I was a member of Box Hill Golf Club, where I won five club championships, and captained the pennant team to a final in 2014.

I concluded my PGA Traineeship in 2017, finishing the year as the number 1 ranked Trainee Professional in Australia in Education, winning the Titleist/Footjoy Academic Scholarship. I won the 2016 Rossdale Trainee Open and Flinders Trainee Event.

Most recently, I worked at the PGA, where I built the Tournament Player Development Program; a groundbreaking initiative designed to improve the on-course and off-course development of Australian tournament members.

My passion lies in the development and ongoing education of all players, from beginners through to elite players.

Whilst coaching, I continue to play Australia-wide on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am series. I have a keen interest in junior development, and I am a recognised PGA Membership Pathway Program (MPP) mentor.

I’m available 6 days a week. Click Below to book a lesson.

Michael Dean

  • Fully Qualified PGA Professional Member
  • Played on the PGA Tour of Australia – South East Asia for six years

Our PGA golf pro, Michael Dean conducts private lessons, junior programs and group clinics at The Heritage Golf and Country Club.

Hailing from New Zealand, Michael picked up his first set of clubs at the age of 12 – practising his game under the watchful eye of his grandfather who was a top NZ golfer. He moved to Australia in 2011 to forge a career in tournament golf.

Chasing an Australian PGA Tour card, Michael made his move into the professional ranks in 2015 at the age of 25, playing in Asian Development Tour events across South-East Asia, as well as in the United States. He has played Professional golf for the last six years and is now a PGA-accredited golf pro with a passion for working with players of all ages and abilities.

According to Michael, there’s more than one way to swing a golf club:

“Everyone is different and has a different make-up. I help to find a way to get the most out of every player by working on their technical skills, course skills and mental game skills.’

Along with the latest video analysis and golf simulator/ball flight data, newcomers will quickly grow their understanding of the game and with Michael’s help, will fast track their enjoyment.

Having taken a five-year sabbatical from golf coaching, Sean has returned to his true passion of helping golfers of all standards improve and reach their true potential.

“I believe golf should not be hard and my coaching philosophy is similar.  I try to keep it as simple as possible.  Every person is different, making techniques vary greatly. Working within every individual’s limitation is a major focus of mine.”
