The Henley

Stroll over the bridge across the Yarra to Heritage’s northern half and discover a hidden treasure. This traditional links course was designed by Tony Cashmore and contrasts beautifully with the stadium style St John. Weaving through wetlands and oxbow tundra carved by the river, The Henley rises alongside the Warrandyte State Forest. The roughs are as picturesque as the fairways and the rugged terrain is much more in keeping with the traditional Scottish or Irish links courses. The Henley has the traditional ‘nine holes out and nine holes in.’

This course boasts the longest par 4 in Australia and will test the most talented players.

The emerald-green fairways, sculptured greens and bunkers give way to blue billabongs and wetlands splashed with waterlilies and birdlife. The Yarra winds through a patchwork of meandering holes on both sides of the river. Location and attention to detail makes Heritage Golf and Country Club, one of the most captivating golf courses in Australia.
